It’s easier to open a garage door with a button than lifting manually. I just wanted to start with that preface. If humans can find a easy way to go about their daily tasks in a simplified manner, they will; and since the invention of the wheel, humanity hasn’t looked back.
The garage door opener is simple in design and easy to use. Once installed, you press a button and it goes up; you press a button and it goes down. It’s really that simple! Talk about humanity making things easy to use and no hassle. It REALLY doesn’t get much simpler than that.
This is only part of our story though. Let’s dive deeper into the design of the garage doors that garage door openers lift. I promise to make this short and sweet. We focus on roll-up, sectional garage doors. We do also install one-piece garage doors but there is a significant cost difference between the two. Please call our sales representatives to learn more.
One Piece Garage Doors
Sometimes called “California Doors,” one piece garage doors are essentially a giant wall that can be lifted by hand or with the help of a garage door opener. They really became popular in the mid 20th century and then slowly began to lose ground to roll-up or sectional garage doors over the years.
Sectional Garage Doors
Sectional garage doors are the most common garage door installed on the market today. They come in all different colors and styles, but the most frequently used it a non-insulated, white, wood finished design. We install most all types of residential garage doors and we allow our customers to choose the brand, style and model.
